Snake ID

No snake found in Steiner with stripes running down the length of it's body is venomous/dangerous.

Blotches are irregular patterns on the back or sides of a snake.

No snake in Steiner with blotches is venomous.  Blotched snakes include rat snakes, water snakes and hognose snakes.

A clearly defined diamond pattern along the snake's back.

Banded snakes are those that have clearly defined, alternating color seperation around the circumfrence of the snakes body.  (Think rings around the snake instead of stripes down the length of it's body.)
